Who the heck am I?

Hi and welcome to my first ever blog.  It’s only taken me 15 months to get around to doing one. Anyway I just thought I’d start by introducing myself and telling you a little bit about me and my business.

My name is Tracey and I’m the sole owner of Juiceology, a small local cold pressed juice business and a qualified Natural Juice Therapist. I’m also a wife, mum to 3 kids, 2 dogs and a horse...yup, a HORSE. Well, it’s my daughter’s horse I just give it carrots now and again!! I’m also very much into my health and fitness and enjoy going to the gym. I like nothing more than socialising with friends and family. Life’s all about BALANCE.

How did I get in to juicing?

I got into juicing when we lived in Spain but it wasn’t until we moved back to Scotland that I really stepped it up a gear or two. When we moved back my amazing mum was diagnosed with lung cancer and I wanted to do as much as I possibly could to help her. I could see how she struggled with eating after her chemo so, for me, getting goodness into her was really important to keep her strength and energy levels up. I juiced daily for my mum as it was easy for her to take, refreshing and I know it helped her, especially on those harder treatment days. My middle child was also diagnosed with Coeliac disease and even though he was great at eating fruit and veg I wanted to ensure he was absorbing as many nutrients as he possibly could; so it became part of our daily routine and I now couldn’t imagine not juicing!!

Reasons for starting my business?

After I lost my mum I wanted to help as many people as I could so this encouraged me to pursue a recognised qualification to enable me to help people so I decided to go and study Natural Juice Therapy at The Juicemaster Academy and after many long months of studying Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition and Juicing I’m happy to say that I’m now a fully qualified NATURAL JUICE THERAPIST, fully accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). Am I any good at Biology? Absolutely NOT!!

Juicing has allowed my family to experience the benefits of plant based nutrition as my youngest child especially would never consider eating some of the fruits and vegetables I now put in his juices such as celery, spinach and avocado to name a few.  But will he drink it…YES. Enjoy it…YES.

So getting back to the question……. Juiceology was born out of passion to help and inspire others towards living a healthier life as I truly believe that your HEALTH is your WEALTH.
